FAQ

How many pictures will we receive?

I believe in telling your whole story, from big laughs to the tiny unscripted details. Because I focus on capturing candid, real moments, I don't put a cap on your gallery. on average for 1 hr sessions you can expect between 20-50 hand edited, high resolution images. I select the very best shots that represent the beauty and emotion of our time together.

What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?

When it comes to newborn photography, there is a "sweet spot," but because I focus on real moments and bold, beautiful details, we can make magic happen at any stage.

The "Sweet Spot": 5 to 14 Days Old If you love those peaceful, sleepy, curled-up shots, the best time to schedule is within the first two weeks of your baby’s life. During this window, newborns tend to sleep more deeply and are naturally more flexible for those cozy "new-to-the-world" poses.

The "Lifestyle" Window: 3 to 6 Weeks Old Don't worry if the first two weeks feel like a blur! If we wait a little longer, we get to capture more of their personality. At this stage, babies are more alert, you might get a few first smiles, and we can focus on the connection and "candid" moments of you holding and loving on your new addition.

How should we dress for our family session?

Wear What Makes You Feel Like You
The best photos happen when you feel confident and comfortable. My goal is to capture your family’s real connection, so if you’re tugging at a stiff collar or worried about a short skirt, it shows! Pick outfits that allow you to move, hug, and play.
Tips for a "Bold & Beautiful" Gallery:
• Coordinate, Don’t Match: Move away from everyone wearing the same white t-shirt and jeans. Instead, pick a color palette (like earth tones, sunset hues, or blues and creams) and let everyone’s personality shine within that range.
• Trust the Textures: Since I love capturing those "bold details," textures photograph beautifully! Think knits, linens, lace, or denim. They add depth to your photos without needing a busy print.
• Subtle Patterns: One or two people in a soft floral or a simple plaid is great, but try to avoid large logos, neon colors, or tiny, tight stripes (which can look dizzying on camera).
• Timeless Over Trendy: You want to look at these photos 20 years from now and still love them. Classic silhouettes always win!
• The "Motherhood" Trick: Moms, I usually suggest picking your outfit first! Find a dress or look that makes you feel amazing, and then pull colors from that for the rest of the family.

We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?

The short answer: It’s more than okay. It’s exactly where the magic happens.

Believe it or not, almost everyone tells me they feel "awkward" or "un-photogenic" before we start. As a mother of three and a high school sweetheart, I’ve been on both sides of the camera, and I know that the best photos aren't the ones where you're posing perfectly—they’re the ones where you’re being yourself.

How I Make It Easy for You:
• Connection Over Perfection: I don’t expect you to walk onto a "set" and know what to do. My style is built on candid, real moments. I’ll give you gentle direction—like "whisper something funny in her ear" or "tickle your toddler"—to get those genuine smiles that a "say cheese" ever could.
• A Stress-Free Zone: I pride myself on creating a relaxed environment. We’ll laugh, we’ll chat, and I’ll probably share a funny story about my own kids. Before you know it, you’ll forget the camera is even there.
• The "Bold & Beautiful" Glow: My job is to find the best light and the best angles to highlight your story. I focus on the details that make you, you.
My Promise: You don't need to be a "pro" at having your picture taken. You just need to show up and love your family. I’ll take care of the rest, ensuring you walk away with a gallery of bold, heartfelt memories that make you feel as beautiful as you truly are.
